Weather in San Diego - Weather to Anticipate when Visiting America's Finest City

Whether you are heading out west to visit the San Diego Zoo, or perhaps a comic book lover's paradise, the San Diego Comic-Con, then you will want to know what the weather in San Diego will be like so that you can pack the appropriate attire for your trip. Winter time will have temperatures that get as warm as 65 degrees for the day, with lows that rarely ever drop below the 40's. With weather as warm as that, you should be able to stay comfortable in shorts and short sleeved shirts, at least during the daytime. The ocean will bring about cool breezes, especially in the evening hours, so bring a sweater or light jacket along too. Raincoats or umbrellas are also a good idea to have just in case.

For the springtime months, the weather in San Diego is very pleasant, with highs that reach the upper 60's. Visitors who travel there during this time will be greeted by a lush environment, filled with blooming flowers and trees that have gotten their color back, which is quite the contrast to the rainy winter months. Springtime in San Diego will have a rain shower from time to time, so like with any other trip, be sure to pack either a raincoat or umbrella. Some evenings can get cool, so a light jacket, sweater, pants will be welcomed, as will shorts and short sleeved shirts in the daytime.

The weather in San Diego during the summer months see temperatures with highs that reach between 71 to 78 degrees. The humidity hovers around 74 percent. The days are mostly sunny and warm, making summer an ideal time to visit, especially if you love doing things outdoors. Obviously shorts and short sleeves will be mostly what you will wear during this time period, as well as something to swim in. A light jacket or long sleeved shirt should be enough to get you through some of the cooler evenings.

For those traveling in September, October, or November, the months of fall, the weather in San Diego should be quite pleasant to visit during this time period. The temperature will be even nicer than the summer months, as the daily high will usually reach around 70 to 77 degrees. The humidity level should be around 65 to 70 percent. If you will be staying around Santa Ana, the winds will sometimes blow in much warmer air which is coming from the desert, so there will be some days in San Diego that will actually very warm.
